Your lover has proposed or accepted your proposal, and so you have a wedding coming up in a short time. But you have a few pounds, and your wedding dress or costume is not fitting. Or perhaps you want to look your best on the pictures. So you are probably wondering “how can I lose weight fast for my wedding”.
Do not wait at the last minute to get on it. There are no diet plans out there that can work that magic. Losing 9lbs in 11 day can be done using an unique diet plan. But even if that diet plan works wonders, hoping you will fit in you dress or costume in less then a week is not possible with it (any diet plan for that matter).
A lot of people will suggest you to go with diet plans such as; atkins, south beach diet, Acai Berry and others. And if you do go with them, just make sure they are not going to make you lose weight only momentarily, or even worst, just make you pack more weight before the wedding. Because they are, after all, fad diet.
Those pictures will become your memories, so I am pretty sure you do not want to be fatter than you were before you started the diet. That is why an efficient and reliable diet is the proper thing to search for. I will spare you all the surfing through the internet.
So lose weight fast for your wedding, more or less 9lbs in 11 days (you can actually really lose more then 9lbs, and safely too), and fit in that beautiful dress or that hot costume.

The only proven way to help you lose 20 lbs fast, and safely is to burn more calories than you regularly consume. If you require a weight loss plan for 2011 that will help you accomplish the results, talk with your doctor about the alternate options that are best for you.
Most health professionals agree that the best and safest way to lose 20 lbs of weight is to modestly cut calories, eat a balanced diet, and exercise. People normally do best when they decrease their usual calorie intake or bring up the calories they use by 500-1,000 per day. This allows you to eat enough for good nutrition, yet lose about one to two pounds a week.
But in order to achieve those results, you have to stay away from unhealthy approaches such as smoking, fasting, purging, or abusing laxatives, and avoid trendy diets and other weight loss programs that promise you quick results or restrict your food choices.
On the other hand, if you plan lose 20 lbs this year by taking a natural weight loss supplement, or following a recommended program that will help you lose weight safely, there are 5 helpful tips that could help you choose the right weight loss plan:
1. How does the formula or service work?
Does the weight loss plan focus on diet, exercise, or a combination of both together?
2. How much will it cost?
Ask for a detailed list that includes membership fees and fees for weekly visits. Be sure to ask if there are additional costs for diagnostic tests, food, dietary supplements, or other products in the program.
3. How well does it work?
Ask to see the reports that back up results. Look for how many people completed the plan, how much weight they actually lost, and how long they kept the weight off.
4. Is there any risk involved?
Get specific information about potential side effects. Check with your physician before you take prescriptions, OTC weight loss medications, or dietary supplements. Diets that require rigorous food restriction should really be under the surveillance of a physician.
5. Finally, do they offer any type of counseling, or group support?
Find out if they will offer you some sort of attention, or counseling during your weight loss plan.
These are some pointers to help you find the right weight loss program for this 2011. If you closely follow those pointers we share with you today, you could undoubtedly be losing those extra 20 lbs faster that you think.

For those who are yet unaware, acai berry is a fruit with a single seed that has its origin in the dense Amazon woods. Acai can be well described as the top energy fruit of nature. The acai fruit with its round shape and black-purplish shade, it looks almost similar to that of black grapes but is far more effective in various aspects concerning diet and fitness.
The inhabitants of the Amazon region in Brazil are familiar with the essential goodness of this fruit and the major portion of their diet comprises of this round-shaped diet ball. Another major benefit of the acai berry fruit is in case of weight loss. By increasing the calorie consumption rate in your system, acai berry ushers in the healthiest ways of losing weight unlike other diet products which makes the best use of hunger suppressant elements. With this effect, it also helps you to burn those extra calories while carrying on with your regular schedule. The intake of the acai supplements should happen in the morning in the form of pills or in the form of powder that is mixed in either juice or in a shake.
The only problem with acai berries is that they deteriorate in a rapid pace due to the presence of high fatty elements. The whole of the acai fruit comes in use; the fruit for the purpose of diet and the seed for the purpose of fertilizer and manure for plants. The ant-oxidant property of the acai helps to flush out the toxins and other metabolic wastes from your body effectively.

The induction phase of Atkins diet is one of the most important steps to successful weight loss. In addition to the list of acceptable foods, there are some rules that are important to follow during this period of the diet.
During induction, you need to eat three normal sized meals per day or four to five smaller meals. If you’re nervous and you get hungry between meals, try breaking your meals into small portions and eat more often. To avoid the lack of carbohydrates, you will have full control over your body and the consumption of proteins and vegetables in the plan. Never skip meals and never wait more than six hours without eating.
You may freely eat any foods allowed on the list. No need to restrict fat and protein. Eat as much of them as you want. Remember the Atkins diet is a diet low in calories. All you have to worry about is your level of grams of carbohydrates. Be sure that you are counting the grams of carbohydrates when you eat cheese, vegetables, and beverages with aspartame. At least 13-15 grams of carbohydrates are allowed to eat from the list of vegetables. Although it may be tempting to eat all cheese, vegetables are very important to your digestive system (especially when on this diet).
Avoid all pasta, grains, fruit, bread, and starchy vegetables (like squash or cauliflower) during the initial period. These foods will be introduced very slow throughout the phase of pre-maintenance. Although beans are high in protein, also include enough carbohydrates and should be avoided during this phase. If you feel you must have some grain products in the diet should be limited to products high in fiber and low in carbohydrates. However, this may further delay the process of losing weight.
Anything that is not on the list of acceptable foods are prohibited during the induction phase. It is advisable not to fall into the temptation of having only “one bite.” His single bite can become two, and then you can end up ruining your diet.
Remember to adjust the amount of acceptable foods to satisfy your appetite. At the beginning of the induction phase, you may have to eat much, much more than that by the end of the phase. As your body breaks its addiction to sugar and carbohydrates, you will be less hungry during the day. When this starts to happen, be sure to eat only what you need. Eat until satisfied, not until you feel full.
Always read the labels of packaged products, but say they are “carbohydrate-free” may be hiding some products. Manufacturers are allowed by law to round to 0 if a product has less than 0.5 grams for carbohydrates counting. Is important to look at the detailed list of ingredients of products manufactured to check for hidden carbs. You also need to be careful with carbohydrates when you eat out. Small amounts of carbohydrates in sauces, sauces and salad dressings. The best option is to eat the meat without sauce and eat your salad with olive oil and vinegar
It is important to remember to drink eight glasses of eight ounces of water, and anything else you drink without carbohydrates. This will keep your body hydrated and help you avoid constipation. It will also be able to expel the products created by burning fat.
Follow these guidelines keeping them in mind when you start the induction phase and be assured that you will have medium-term success with the Atkins diet.

How to lose weight in a week is a question that many people ask these days. The obesity rate in America is increasing every year and people are looking for ways to quickly lose weight. The problem with this is that losing weight can take time if you want to be healthy about it. It is going to be hard work, but there are things that you can do to lose weight in a week. This article will discuss tips on losing the weight and plans that you should avoid.
Low fat diets do not work at all. Food products that are low in fat have been around for over 10 years now, yet our country seems to get more overweight each year. Low calorie diets do not work and are not healthy for you. Limiting your body to a certain amount of calories a day is not very good for it. Your body needs those calories for energy and to burn fats as well. You may lose weight for a few days, but it won’t last.
Low carb diets are good in theory, but very hard to follow through with. For the average individual, it’s going to be too difficult to follow the strict diet and foods you have to eat. Most people will get bored easily and stop after a little while. Programs such as Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers work as long as you can stick with it. They average about 2-3 pounds of weight loss each week, so it will take some time if you are overweight. Most of you are looking for quicker ways to lose weight and fortunately there are alternatives like the ones below.
I recently discovered a program known as “calorie shifting”. This involves eating the right meals at the right times. The system works for dieters that have failed with other programs and plans because it is simple to follow and understand. Lots of people have had very good results using this strategy, but it must be used properly. If followed properly it is possible to lose 9 pounds every 11 days. The main feature of this “calorie shifting” system is a diet generator that calculates your menu everyday. You can customize easily and put in the foods that you like to eat the most. This is great because you can continue to eat the foods you love and still lose weight.
Losing weight does take hard work, but if you follow through you can learn how to lose weight in a week. There are a lot of plans out there that are hard to follow and execute because of how strict they are. “Calorie shifting” is not one of those. There are many happy users that keep losing 9 pounds every 11 days. Compared to other weight loss programs it is very affordable.

The research carried out on olive oil over the last few years by respected institutions such as Harvard and Oxford Universities has had very positive results. It has been found that the most beneficial olive oil is ‘extra-virgin’ olive oil – the oil created by the first pressing of the olives. Choosing ‘extra-virgin’ olive oil as your main source of dietary fat is a prime factor in maintaining good health as this type of oil can actually lower the risk of coronary heart disease by reducing blood cholesterol levels. Saturated fats increase both blood pressure levels and the risk of heart disease.
This was proved by a recent study involving people suffering from ‘hypertension’ whose dietary intake of olive oil was purposely increased. After a period of 2 months, the effect that the increased intake had was significant enough to decrease their anti-hypertensive drug dosage by 50%!! Another study concluded that a person’s risk of a fatal heart attack is halved in just 2 to 4 years if they switch to a diet with a higher olive oil consumption.
Research has also found that olive oil may influence body fat distribution meaning less fat is stored around the stomach and waist. This is significant as those who store their body fat around the waist also have a higher risk of heart disease. Consumption of olive oil is also thought to lead to a reduced risk of some cancers and even diabetes.
The most recent findings to date were reported in the ‘Daily Telegraph’ newspaper in the United Kingdom. Scientists from the ‘Morell Chemical Senses Center’ in Philadelphia found that extra-virgin olive oil relieves pain in the same way as some ‘pain-killers’ such as Ibuprofen. They discovered that the oil contains an anti-inflammatory compound called ‘oleocanthal’ which suppresses the same pain pathway as the ‘painkillers’ do. This is extremely important as it is the inflammation in the body that is believed to play a key role in causing some chronic diseases like cancer.
The difference between the various olive oils is in their acidity level. The acidity level affects only the taste of the olive oil that you purchase; it has virtually no impact on the nutritional content. For all cooking purposes buy a medium priced ‘extra virgin’ olive oil from either Spain or Italy. Be sure to use only low to moderate heat when cooking with olive oil.

Dr. Robert Atkins’ weight loss program has been all at once the subject of derision, admiration, controversy and scrutiny. It easily ranks among one of the most hyped up diets in history, but not many sources will tell you what’s so good – and so bad -about it. Here are the pros, cons and a few other critical tidbits you should know before you join the melee – or try the diet for yourself.
The Good
No matter what critics might say, there are still some positive things to Dr. Atkins’ program, otherwise it shouldn’t have gotten so many adherents in the first place. While medical professionals might scoff at these advantages, they’re still pretty attractive if you’re the typical person just looking to lose weight.
It works quickly – One of the biggest factors in the worldwide appeal of the Atkins diet is that it can deliver results in a relatively short time. Dieters under the Atkins program report considerably greater weight loss in six months than traditional dieters did in the same amount of time.
Meat and fats are allowed – Even if your doctors say that greens and veggies are the best food for your body, you’re probably not very eager about turning herbivore. Under the Atkins diet, eating meat isn’t just allowed; it’s required.
Stick to it! One of a dieter’s biggest problems is to adhere to the program at all times. While that’s usually a tall order with bland, vegetable-heavy diets, it’s much easier given all the flavor and variety allowed by the Atkins program. And because you have a wider range of food allowed, you’re less likely to fall off the path and restart from square one.
The Bad and The Ugly
This is the part that your doctor probably tells you about. Medical professionals usually don’t prescribe low-carbohydrate, high-protein diets to anyone other than epileptics. But these aren’t just dire, pro-vegetable warnings; there are a few things here that might interest you as well, even if you’ve already started.
It’s not worth sustaining – Although the Atkins diet does give huge results quickly, the law of diminishing returns kicks in just as rapidly. Within 12 months, the difference between losses under the Atkins diet and traditional diets will have become insignificant.
There are risks - Because you’re drastically reducing one part of your diet and then ramping up the quantity in another, extremes are possible – and dangerous. The Atkins diet places greater pressure on the liver in particular because it facilitates the breakdown of fat, which serves as your primary energy source in the absence of carbohydrates.
Social life may be at risk. There have also been quite a number of rather embarrassing effects of the Atkins diet like bad breath, smelly urine and body odor. As a modified ketogenic diet, the Atkins program gets a higher amount of ketones circulating in your body. The higher amounts tend to manifest as an unpleasant smell when expressed through glands like the salivary or sweat glands.
The Atkins program isn’t necessarily for everyone, and it will all depend on what kind of results you’re looking for in your diet. If you think that the advantages are worth suffering the disadvantages, and then by all means try the program. Just don’t forget to see your doctor or a medical professional before trying anything out.

You have seen the ads all over the TV, internet and in those glamour magazines telling you that you can lose a pound or even more in a single day. You scratch your head and ask yourself is it really possible to lose a pound or more a day? Yes it is possible that you can lose a pound or more a day,but it does come with not so pleasing side effects.
When you drop the pounds at a pound a day you are most likely losing fluid and muscle and not the fat that you really want to lose. Yes your scale numbers will go down but you will have lost muscle causing you to be flabby.
You never want to lose the muscle you have because muscle helps you burn fat. That is why all good exercising programs should include some kind of muscle building routine.
To lose a pound a day you would have to drastically reduce your calorie intake. Doing this may cause your body to go into starvation mode thus slowing down your metabolism.
Another major problem with losing too much weight too quick may cause your body to have loose skin all over your body. It would be a shame to lose all that weight to now be covered in loose skin.
I suggest you take it slow and steady, this will also help you keep the weight off for good. Remember a healthy weight loss goal should be around two to 5 pounds a week.
