About FOP

The Garland Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #68 was founded in June of 1998 with 11 original charter members. Today, our lodge has in excess of 240 members. The Garland FOP Lodge #68 is proud to serve for the Texas State Lodge,which has a membership in excess of 5,100 law enforcement professionals across the state. On a national level, we are the largest and strongest police organization in the world with a membership in excess of 300,000 law enforcement professionals consisting of federal, state and municpal agencies. The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge consists of Police who represent Police. From our founding fathers that established the Fraternal Order of Police on September 17th, 1915 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the FOP has a rich history and long tradition of serving our nation's law enforcement professionals. As a collective unit, we strive for the advancement of the law enforcement profession. We consistently seek to improve working condition, wages and benefits, as well as monitor and propose effective legislation. We are proud to represent and serve the law enforcement professionals of the Garland Police Department, and will always be proud to be FOP!
