Needless to say when I went off the diet, I started over-indulging in all the foods I was deprived of during the diet. I told myself that I needed a reward for losing all the weight. In a few short months, the pounds I lost came back and I was stuck with an unhealthy new eating habit to boot.

Maybe there is something wrong in the way we are trying to lose weight? Since most eating disorders affect far more women than men, there is really a cause for concern. Women need to re-examine the way they attempt to lose weight and the ultimate cost on their health and bodies.

Although it sounds unfashionable compared to the latest fad diets out there, the best weight loss diet for women that ensures permanent results is one on which healthy portions from various food groups is allowed. A plan like this will ensure healthy weight loss without causing undue stress on the body. Women also need to keep in mind that fad diets are ageing. Best Diet For 2010 – Spiritually Speaking!

The New Year always brings resolutions of eating better, getting more exercise, and many other improvements to our lives. However, one diet plan is often overlooked; yet it is the greatest diet plan that you will find; no calories!
Give us today our daily bread. Matthew 6:11 (NIV).

Daily bread. This can be viewed as actual sustenance to provide food daily, or it can be viewed as spiritual nutrition. Either way both are important to being healthy. When I pray for daily bread I most often pray for the spiritual kind (it has no calories!). I want to know what sort of spiritual food God has for me. What do I need to learn about Jesus today? What will I need to get through my day the best? Is the nourishment I need to remember a verse like Proverbs 15:1 (NIV) A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Or is the nourishment that I need today to meditate on the verse found in Matthew 7:1 (NIV). Do not judge, or you too will be judged. I don’t know, it’s all good, but by allowing God to speak to me with his daily bread I will feel a tranquility for the day knowing that I have asked God to give me what I need to get through this day.

What does daily bread mean to you?
What does fresh baked bread smell like?
Read 2 Corinthians 2:15. Is our aroma in this life important?

God is in heaven, I am down here. I see a definite difference in our point of view. He sees all, no time constraints or location problems. Weather has no effect on his ability to see or make decisions. Me, on the other hand, I have a limited view of my life. I can only see what is today, if I’m lucky I remember yesterday. I can make plans but I do not know the future; so those plans may or may not become a reality. I have worries, concerns, illness, and family to think of and all of those issues will make a difference in my plans. Really, one of the reasons I like to pray and ask God how I should pray is that I have discovered doing so is an incredible time-saver! By choosing to allow God, my Father, to share his omnipresent point of view I cut down on defeated plans and failed attempts. That is not to say everything goes well or life is perfect, however, I certainly feel that my life’s travels are smoother allowing my Father’s Word to guide me.

My Heavenly Father will give me opportunities to share his love and care for his people when I focus on His spiritual nourishment. My diet plan for 2010 is to focus on receiving His nourishment first; reading the Bible and praying to my Father in heaven.
